He has served on the NSCNA Board since 2009, lives in District 3, and serves as Director of District 6 (there is method to that madness). 🙂 In addition to his duties at the NSCNA, Mitch is also a Board Director of the Hazel Dell/Salmon Creek Business Association, a former Executive Officer for the Salmon Creek PTA, and a former Board Member for the Salmon Creek Little League. Professionally, as the publisher of a local digital media company, ClarkCountyLive.com, Mitch works with local businesses and organizations to spread the word of all the good things happening in our neighborhoods.
Ann Foster – Neighborhood Association Council Liaison
Ann retired from HP’s Vancouver Division in 2008 after many years in sales and marketing. Her awareness that her own local group of neighborhoods was a fit setting for a real farmers’ market, and pursuing her interest in small businesses that provide fresh and local products in the hands of the local community, Ann founded the Salmon Creek Farmers Market in 2010. A second market was opened at the entrance to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in 2012. Ann has been a part of the North Salmon Creek Neighborhood Association, as District 7 Officer, since 2011. She serves on the board of the Washington State Farmers Market Association, is a member of the Clark County Food System Council and is on the board member of Friends of Clark County, all of which are aligned with her efforts to preserve small acreage food-producing farms in SW Washington. Her current project is a SW Washington Food Hub which would connect food producers and farmers with local restaurants, schools and hospitals in the area.
