The Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market season opens Tuesday, April 18, and they’re looking forward to seeing you at the entrance to Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital on April 18, and on April 25 for its specialty Earth Day markets. The Market will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with plenty of parking, always accessible and always exciting. In celebrating Earth Day and the sustainability of our environment, the Earth Day market introduces plants, starts, spring flowers, wonderful baked goods, processed foods and a hot meal.
The Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market is also set to participate again in the Clark PUD Home & Garden “Idea” Fair at the Fairgrounds, this year held on April 28, 29, and 30. Saturday, April 29 will feature a booth dedicated to local farms, CSA’s and farm stands.
The market on Thursdays behind Wayside Market in past years has been discontinued for 2017. However, starting June 20, the Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market at Legacy is a thriving market that offers fresh, locally-produced food from local farms and local food producers. It offers credit/debit services, plus EBT along with a Fresh Match of up to $5 of an EBT transaction. Farmers and food producers who are approved as part of the Farmers Market Nutrition Program accept vouchers from WIC and Senior clients, once those vouchers have been distributed later in the season.
