It’s Showtime in Downtown Vancouver.
The Kiggins Theatre, named after former Vancouver Mayor JP Kiggins and a downtown landmark since 1936, has undergone a huuuuge renovation, and is now open for your movie-going pleasure! Community events, art and music will also be an integral part of the Kiggins schedule in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
“After a year and a half of renovations, spurred on by hundreds of supporters and volunteers, the Kiggins Theatre has finally reopened its doors. Catering to local demand for independent, classic and family movies at affordable prices, the theatre will offer shows four days a week, Friday through Monday. The art deco lounge, located on the second will floor, will offer beer, wine and cider to go alongside pizza and other snacks. Built in 1936 and tastefully restored, the theatre offers a genuine main street experience giving the next generation of movie goers the chance to create their own Kiggins memories.”
Film choices will be focused on the classics, family films and documentaries as well as independent and foreign films. Movie prices range from $4 to $6. The Kiggins Theatre is located at 1011 Main Street; to find out What’s Playing at the Kiggins, or for more information, call 360-816-0352.
